Media 100 Announces Version 12

Media 100 has announced Version 12, adding support for progressive frame formats and deeper integration with the Boris FX product line. With Version 12, Media 100 editors will be able to acquire, edit, and master progressive formats. The enhanced integration with Boris FX plug-ins will enable Media 100 editors to apply Boris filters and preset effects directly to individual clips as well as a range of video right from the Media 100 timeline.
Media 100 Version 12 Feature Highlights and Benefits
* Progressive Frame Support: Media 100 HD Suite and Media 100 HDe will support 480p, 720p 23.98 (HD Suite Only), 720p 50, 720p 59.94, 720p 60, 1080PsF 23.98, 1080PsF 24, 1080p 25, 1080p 29.97, and 1080p 30. All progressive formats playback in realtime without rendering.
* Boris FX Integration: Clip effects and transitions can be applied and saved as favorites within the Media 100 interface. Effects can be processed in 16-bit per channel color space for maximum quality and color accuracy.
* Intel Mac Acceleration for Effects Creation: Boris FX plug-ins take advantage of the latest Intel Mac processors to render at optimum speeds.
Media 100 Version 12 will ship in Q3 2007. Customers who buy Media 100 HD Suite, Media 100 HDe, or Media 100 SDe between now and the Version 12 release will receive six free months of Platinum Software Updates.
