DMN Podcast: EditShare's Andy Liebman on Production Workflow
Tuesday, June 26, 2007
Smaller studios can now have what major studios have long enjoyed
"If you have ever worked on a project that had multiple editors on it you know the frustration that comes with having to sit and wait until one person was done with the media you needed. You waited and then even more frustrating or time consuming had to go and load the media onto a portable drive for your perusal or workflow. Although this worked for most it is about to become extinct.
What only the big boys at the studios had can now be afforded by smaller independent studios. Welcome to EditShare.
I had the opportunity to meet with EditShare President Andy Liebman last week for dinner. I was so blown away by what EditShare was able to do to the production workflow that I twisted Andy's arm to be on the show. His need for a better workflow prompted him to create EditShare.
The story is both inspiring and informative."
